
Fresh Pastures is a dairy farm in Wakefield, West Yorkshire supplying dairy and other fresh products to schools, local government establishments and businesses throughout the region, making more than 3,000 deliveries every day. JLM Mechanical and Electrical designed, supplied and installed a range of mechanical and electrical works at the Fresh Pastures main site as part of a major programme of improvement.
Our electrical engineering team installed a new transformer and main switchboard, as well as new distribution boards — including earthing and bonding and containment installation. We designed and implemented a lighting system which incorporated the supply and installation of lighting and emergency lighting to office areas, process areas and workshops, as well as external lighting and lighting control systems.
We carried out small power installation to the office areas, process areas and workshops, as well as installing mechanical plant power supplies. In addition, we supplied and installed ancillary infrastructure including CCTV and security systems, fire detection and alarm systems, disabled assistance alert systemsand data cabling and networking installations.
Our mechanical engineers carried out the supply and installation of a new water supply, meter and pipework, including installing a new main supply to the building plant room in accordance with Yorkshire Water guidelines, and an above-ground drainage system.
We installed a new gas housing, gas meter and pipework supply to the building plant room, and implemented a low-temperature hot water (LTHW) heating system, as well as providing gas radiant heating to the workshop and warehouse areas.
We supplied and installed sanitary ware and mechanical ventilation to WCs as well as installed kitchen domestic services including hot and cold water services, gas services and HVAC systems within the office areas.
