Highfield Primary School is a 450-student reception-Key Stage 2 school located in northeast Leeds. As part of a new-build extension project to the school assembly hall, JLM was contracted to carry out the design and installation of a range of mechanical and electrical works.
Our electrical engineering team stripped out and reinstated services to the hall store, including general-purpose small power installation, and general-purpose mains, as well as earthing, emergency lighting and control systems. We also installed a fire alarm and security system, as well as providing data/networking services to the building.
Mechanical work carried out as part of the project included enabling diversion of pipework, installing heating and controls to the hall and offices — incorporating heat recovery ventilation and the provision of a new constant temperature circuit, and installation of extraction ventilation systems to the existing stores and toilets.
